Razorfish / New York, NY / Jul. ‘13 – Aug. ‘14

Program Director (Freelance)                              

·      Returned to Razorfish on a contract basis to oversee the Uniqlo account, including the launch of AEM as the CMS for the US site, and the design of global platform including specific features and development for a Taiwan launch and a subsequent EU/UK launch. 

·      The account included up to 4 Project Managers leading up the various phases of work, a development team, and a creative and user experience design team.


Huge / Brooklyn, NY / Sept. ‘10 – Apr. ‘13

·      Program manager for one of the company’s largest and most strategic accounts, Comcast.

·      Led redesigns for media site, Bio.com and ecommerce experience, Under Armour, including strategy, design and front end technology development.

·      Within the Project Management department, managed ten direct reports, including assoc. PMs, PMs and Sr. PMs, handling oversight, growth, performance and reviews.

Comcast

·         Oversaw four project managers running multiple project tracks including strategy, design and front end development.

·         Led the design of a revised Comcast.com, a new mobile site, an industry leading ecommerce experience, a new help site and self service account features. All included interim quick wins, as well as next generation full scale redesigns.

·         Supported ongoing maintenance of Comcast’s web properties and operations.

·         Provided creative concepting for future looking and innovative features.

 

Bio.com

·         Led the redesign of the new Bio.com, which relaunched the property by featuring the connections among celebrities and historical figure, and – though the integration of social networks – to the site’s users.

 

HARD CANDY SHELL / New York, NY / Nov. ‘09 – Sept. '10

·      Led business operations, including financial management, financial planning, new business development, proposals and staff allocation, for a user experience design start-up.

·      Defined project approach, scheduling and resource assignments across many simultaneous projects.

·      Developed proposals and SOWs; reviewed and developed contracts.

 

Razorfish / New York, NY / Aug. ‘02 – Oct. ‘09

·      Selected to lead many of the company’s most innovative and challenging projects including engagements for Billboard.com, CNN.com, Universal Music, NBC Universal, Newscorp, GE, U.S. Navy, Condé Nast, CBS Radio, Fairchild Publications and others.

·      Managed Sr. PMs including compensation, performance feedback and career mentoring.

·      Defined the process for project management interviewing; led the development of process and tools for the NY office.

Billboard.com

·         Led design and development team to build the new Billboard.com, re-envisioning the brand, concepting and designing a new consumer-facing online music product over an aggressive six month timeframe.

·         Managed an integrated team including Razorfish, client and off-shore developers.

·         The new site launched July 2007 to critical acclaim and significantly increased traffic.

 

Hulu

·         Worked with NBC Universal and Fox to design a new experience for online video.

·         Built a cross-disciplinary team of 36 operating at a very fast pace with an iterative style aimed at pursuing a highly aggressive timeline while still focusing on product innovation.

·         Maintained the flexibility in approach to completely rethink the product features and design in response to changing company leadership and goals.

 

CNN.com

·         Led the design of the next generation of CNN.com (live from Jul. ‘07 to Oct. ‘09).

·         The project included strategy, information architecture, visual design and functional analysis teams developing an ad strategy, video strategy, page designs, functional specifications, a style guide and interaction prototypes.

·         On launch, the redesigned site quickly achieved increased usage.

 

GE ADVANCED MATERIALS - SILICONES – Customer Center

·      Upgrade and redesign of a B2B web application enabling web purchasing of major industrial products by customers worldwide, featuring complex entitlements and display in eight languages. 

·      The implementation included a J2EE front end connecting to GE’s SAP 4.6 for real-time inventory, order entry and order status. 

·      Design, development and rollout of the system involved stakeholders in the Americas, Europe and Asia to gather requirements, finalize design, and implement a training and rollout plan.

 

SCIENT / New York, NY / Aug. ‘99 – Mar. ‘02

                        Sr. Project Manager          

·      Managed business analysis/strategy, user research, information architecture, content, creative design, technology and QA teams.

·      Defined and executed projects, including project vision, scope, project plans, budgets, and delivery.

·      Facilitated working sessions for requirements definition, design review and issue resolution.

·      Project highlights:

 

MLB.COM

·      Managed the development Major League Baseball’s league portal, and sites for all 30 baseball clubs, realizing the benefits of centralized costs, shared revenue and strengthened branding.

·      Oversaw a team of up to 80 including project managers and business analyst, development, FET, visual design, infrastructure and QA teams to rollout features including:

o  Interwoven TeamSite implemented as a CMS at over 30 locations, with local staff trained.

o  Development of an advanced online baseball statistics package for season and historical statistics, as well as a live in-game statistics feed.

o  Subscription audio functionality co-developed with Real Networks.

o  Online ticketing developed with Tickets.com.

o   Community and commerce features with several vendor partners.

·       Assisted in the creation of the new MLBAM company including staffing and organizational structure recommendations. 

·       Upon launch, MLB.com became the second most popular sports site. 

 

THOMSON – Thomson.com

·     Worked with Thomson to unify the company's many strong brands within a corporate site that showcases the depth and breadth of its product offering.

·     Oversaw various client divisions in the collection and migration of content from legacy marketing sites to a new, central corporate marketing site developed with Documentum 4i and Weblogic.

·     Reviewed user-facing Documentum input templates, and collaborated on refinements to UI.

 

THOMSON – MyTHOMSON Intranet

·  The MyTHOMSON Intranet was built to unify the company internally as Thomson.com did externally.

·  Led the migration of divisional intranets to an enterprise-wide platform on Plumtree Portal Server.

 

CIRQIT

·  Managed the detailed design and engineering phase of Cirqit's Order It! system, a B2B ASP for commercial print procurement.  The system enables employees of corporate clients to enter complex printing specifications for bidding by their print vendors, and tracking of job progress.

·  Served as the project lead for a team that included 30 people from 4 subcontract companies.

 

MASTERCARD CPS

·    Oversaw a team in the redesign of the Corporate Payment Solutions site for MasterCard.

·    Worked with stakeholders across the organization to ensure diverse interests were represented.

·    Developed plan and managed resources jointly with MasterCard's in-house technology group.

THINK NEW IDEAS / New York, NY / May ‘98 – May ‘99

Producer

·      Led in turn-around of the Avon.com account from client with a historically troubled relationship into a reference account.

·      Translated requirements into functional specifications, schedules and budgets for various projects including creative design, technical implementation and site maintenance activities.

·      Oversaw teams of creative, strategy, technical and QA resources.

·      Assisted in pitching business to new and existing clients.

 

EARTHWEB, INC / New York, NY / Oct. ‘96 – May ‘98

Producer, Developer Direct (Mar ‘97 – May ’98)

·      Managed a team in the requirements definition, design and implementation of the new version of the Developer Direct e-commerce site using BroadVision One-To-One.

·      Supervised integration of 3rd party processing for payment, fraud screening and secure ESD.

·      Presided over maintenance of legacy site including daily transactions, systems problems and QA.

Vendor Relations Manager (Oct. ‘96 – Mar ’97)

·      Pitched new developer tool publishers for ESD sales of their product on the Developer Direct store.
Negotiated contracts. Oversaw collection of all elements for publisher's listing.

·      Handled customer inquiries and problems, and oversaw reporting or transactions to accounting.

 

HALLMARK ENTERTAINMENT, INC. / New York, NY / Dec. '95 – Oct. '96

Assistant to SVP, Worldwide Business Development / Interim Manager, International Sales

·     Supervised international agents' deals for licensing products in major worldwide territories.

·     Reviewed, approved and tracked international agency contracts.

·     Created White Paper on costs and benefits for corporate site on the World Wide Web.
